The School at Doniphan Dance Project

The School at Doniphan Dance Project is a community-based dance and movement learning program that takes place in an inclusive and nurturing environment at The VOW Space. 


We welcome and are proud to instruct children of all abilities who represent a diverse ethnic and racial background, identify with their truest selves and celebrate the love of movement.


The School thrives on process driven dance and movement classes that are not focused on a traditional recital performance style of teaching. The instruction at The School at DDP is committed to non-competitive, progressive and inclusive instruction that is rooted in Doniphan Dance Projects core values of community, artistic excellence, creativity and access. 


The School offers three programs. Early Childhood Movement and Exploration, Children and Teen Program, and The DDP Company Program.

Each program is rooted in movement exploration, modern and contemporary dance technique, composition and choreography, and performance skills.

    Intro to Ballet I 4:00pm-4:45pm ( K-1st)

    Fairytale Ballet I 5pm-5:45pm (3yr old Preschool -Pre K)

    DDP Company Rehearsal 6pm-7:30pm

  • Open Modern Class 5:30pm-6:30pm ( 8th grade and older ) 5:30pm-6:30pm

    Foundation of Ballet 5:30pm-6:15pm ( Introduction to ballet for older beginners)

  • Fairytale Ballet I 3:30- 4:15pm (2.5-3.5 yr olds)

    Fairytale Ballet II 4:30pm-5:15pm (4yr- 5y old ) (K welcome in this class)

    Modern and Performance 3:45-4:45pm (8th grade -12th grade)

  • Intro to Ballet II 3:45pm-4:45pm (2nd-3rd grade)

    Ballet Technique + Artistry 4:00pm-5:00pm (6th grade-8th grade)

    Foundation of Pointe Work 5:15pm-5:45pm (Invitation by teacher)
